| Found this place by accident trying to find pics from my last track day...had a look round and it seemed rude not to register At the minute I've got a 97 Astra GSi, a GTE in bits having a resto an an old chip oil burning Astra Van. The GSi started out as a cheap runabout and I was set to flog it on but ended up using on track at Cadwell when my mates Escort RS2k shat itself. Was surprised how well it did so decided to keep it as a tempary track car till my Astra GTE is finished. First lightened it but the the Ecotec went pop late one night on the A1 so fitted a C20XE How it looked when I bought it... bit later at Cadwell...full of all my work crap as I wasn't planning on going on track how it looks at the mo... Binned the interior, power steering, air con...pretty much all the luxuries It's poorly again at the moment, the day before I was due to be on track at Blyton i noticed it was starting to mix oil and water. No time to fix it so took it anyway. It didn't miss a beat all day and still drives fine now but there's more oil than water in the header tank now but I had a plan B anyway...the C20LET turbo motor from my GTE. Just waiting on my 6 speed box to get repaired and it'll be going in sometime this month | |

| Welcome, a nice project considering it started out as a cheap runabout. Looks tidy | |

Right. I bought them new about 6 years ago but they were starting to show their age so painted the Rover Hurricane Grey. was going to fit Team Dynamics pro race 1's but they weigh about the same so didn't bother | |

| Thought so, i had a set from new a few years back on my golf in high power black. I fitted Uniroyal rainsport 2's and they literally eliminated about 90% of the understeer i was experiencing. Look great, but im not sure of the weight, i thought they would be much heavier than any of the pro race wheels. | |
