New Gti 6 owner

Iv just bought my slightly modified Gti6 and was womdering of there's any meets on any time soon?

It's got a full pug sport straight thru decat system on it and induction kit also it's dropped 50mm all round iv got a much bigger throttle body on its way and gettin it booked in to be super chipped and put on the rollers next week fingers crossed it will be abit more than standard after all that lol.

And there is a place up here where I'm from called motor scope they do all sorts of mods to cars they have a dyno and said it should only cost £50 I don't no if that's cheap or not?

Sounds cheap enough but how accurate are they? Sounds like the car should go well

Not much really mate look at members cars got a few pics & stuff in there.

Yeh it's a nice looking car that mate,I'm gonna do them couple mods to it and put some good brakes and leave mine I think oh iv got a Hub to go on it aswell because the numpty that had it b4 me over did the wheel nut and snapped it lol

Thats what had happened to mine hence only having 3 wheel bolts when i got it. I managed to drill mine out & heli coil the hub. Was a bit worried at first but torqued the wheel bolt up to 110NM & have had it on & off a few times so seems to be ok.

Ah that's one way of doing it I suppose,any ideas where there could be water getting in the car it seems to drip thru interior front light and down the pillars near the door frames

Possible aerial base mate for interior light nd possible door seals for door fault but id go for aerial base first.

Good man whens your next ring trip?

Wondering if any1 that has had a 6 could help me with this one?......I went out to it this morning and the central locking isn't working and as a result of this I carnt open the boot or pas door the only door that opens is the drivers door I put some new battery's in the key fob and it's still not working! Any ideas what it could be? :-/

if you swing open/closed your drivers door a few times and play about with door pin (lock it and unlock it) you might find it will pop the locking on the passenger side, i'd say it will be a problem in side the loom that links from your A pilar to your door these are a right pain i've lost count how many of these i've changed over the years especially on early phase2 factory must have been cutting corners on wire as the loom is too short

p.s do your mirrors/windows work ok ?

Ah I see that makes sense it has sorted itself out again today after I had a fiddle the connector from the wing to the door I think I'm gonna get a new door loom and see of that sorts it,yeh my mirrors and windows still work fine when the problem crops up

It wont be the door loom it would be a loom that feeds the door, door loom is the 1 inside the door
