| People like Chris_429 and Jonny-r will recognise me from 106owners - hoping to get some more track action under my belt this year so thought I'd join up over here and possibly get involved. For those who don't know, I'm responsible for this shed - And will be at FCS this sunday provided it doesn't pack up on the way. It's a nice little car but has a few niggly aspects I'll be attacking over the summer. Mike | |

| Still a stock 1.1 with a K&N chav filter, but that will change over summer, insurance permitting of course.
Planning some old-school 8v powaa, and almost have all the parts for it, just need the last few pieces and a man in a suit not wanting too much of my money.
Might post a current spec if I can dig it out.

| Hahaha, sorry gotta stick with the 106oc, I've organised a convoy from my local region so would look more than a bit odd if I snuck off in the other direction as soon as we arrive! Combe is almost 2 and a half hours from me I'm afraid, and I'm not sure where I'll be that week - may have just moved into my new house so might not have the time to spare Progress blog link now in my sig if anyone is interested. Will keep it updated over there as I'm FAR too lazy to maintain 2 blogs but it's viewable to any and everyone if people do fancy a nosey. [Or at least it should be... Think it's taking a few minutes to update my preferences. In any case the link is HERE] | |

| Ah excellent - so I'm not the only pov-spec owner on here The MO's are pretty - the only complaint I have about them is they're bloody heavy! I really want some 14" steels for track and winter, it's just too bad you can only get them on the continent... Apparently the stock 13" ones are actually very lightweight, just I maybe might've fitted brakes that the stock wheels don't fit over *ahem* I think a summer road trip to see the French may be in order. | |

| Can you get 14" 3 stud steel wheels? Do you know how much your MO's weigh? I thought they were supposed to be quite light! | |

| Technically yes, they're discontinued, continental AX mk1 GT's and mk1 AX SPORT's had them to clear their 258mm brakes before the switchover to 247mm Bendix calipers like 4 stud 1.1 106's. But the mk1 was sold between 1987 and mid 1991 IIRC so it's bloody hard to find a set considering they've bene out of production for 20 years... And they're in France. Sport steels were 5.5j (aka S1 Rallye steels, but 3 stud) and the GT steels were a measlier 5j So far after extensive searching I've found one GT steel brand new in Germany lol. They look porn with SPORT centre caps though GT steels, homosensual caps can be removed - Sexy Sport steels - EDIT: Better pics

| You have a fair point. They're very old school Citroen, and suit the boxy mk1 AX for sure. On the curvier S2 106 IMO I don't think they'd look good, especially with all the tarty 'schmoothing' mine seems to have going on. It really sucks the continentals get all the good stuff, although if my French speaking is up to scratch I may have just procured a set | |

| Cheers for that Mikol. Some 14" 3 stud steels from the AX SPORT would be sexy! Powdercoat gloss black and add some coilovers and go super low would suit me..
What wheels might you have secured? Where from?

| Don't want to count my eggs just yet haha - I'll have to catch you on Sunday - will you be hanging around the B4T stand much? Think the 106owners track session is 11:45 - 12:00 but other than then my car (and most likely me with it) will be on the 106owners stand | |

| LOL amateur - I've got an exam on Monday almost as soon as I get back to the bubble. MAN UP! Well it turns out I've found a nice man in France who has a set of 14"ers, but he's going to check if they're 5.5j or 5j ones tomorrow and e-mail me. Could possibly be win-tacular but don't want to shout too much about them until they're on my doorstep. Not sure if they come with caps either :/ | |

| I've got one on the Saturday, then Monday. Then the 4 after that That's pretty awesome about the steels, surely it's not too hard to track a set down if you start putting feelers up for them on as many French French car forums as you can find! Would you drive over or get them delivered? EDIT: Gloss black sports steels with blue centre caps would be too cool

| So long as your rear view mirror works you'll be seeing me all day. 1124cc and zero track experience means I won't exactly be Jensen Button out there Jonny that's a interesting idea but I think if they do come through I'll end up being boring and sticking with the same scheme as my wheels - Glossy white with gloss black centre caps. IMO steelies look best when you give them a motorsport kinda look. Hopefully he'll deliver, if not then I *may* have to go and fetch, but mega MEGA cba with that. | |
