They have started to make them again now, using a ka as a donor. Awsome round bends, took it round coombe before they put the chicanes in (showing my age) easily cornered as well as the westfields but they left me for dead on the straights.

KA could be a good base... if the basic kit wasnt 3k i'd have one

I got mine on the road for £3k. Including buying the seats and donor car. Was back in 1998 tho.

Then i spent another £1.5k on it that winter for a bigger roll bar, weather gear and a very quick 1.7 x-flow engine.

The thing would spin its wheels in the first 3 gears!

Presume the new ones run the 1.3 Duratec engine???
