| two 17 year old amateurs who can't handle spanners attempted fitting a quickshift and a lower engine mount today. With surprisingly successful results Out with the old... two hours later... In with the new And the quickshift while we are at it I found using the hammer to fit this was a very affective method. After doing that I felt my masculinity had increced ten times it's original size. And I think I felt it grown a couple of inches. I know it's like the two easiest jobs you can do on a car but i'm proud. Got a little dirty too... Ughh I need to clean my nails now Think that may have just netralised my manly points back to normal | |

| Also, sam, remember that clunk we heard. Well it was due to the fact that we left the old mount on top of the battery

TBF you know how hard it is to find tools in the garage. 90% of the time we where trying to find a 18mm spanner. the spanners in the set went 16 17 19 20. We actualy thought there was no such thing as a 18mm spanner. | |

| You have spanners in your garage? I thought it would be full of hammers? Owning a Peugeot means the inevitable with my socket set - the 10mm, 13mm, 17mm and 19mm are all missing. I use the 3/4" for wheel bolts now | |

| It took you two hours and your hands were that clean after?! Good going, it's a start, my first mechanical job was changing an alternator belt on my old 106 and that took me an afternoon! Feels good after though, keep doing little things like that and you soon get the confidence to tackle bigger things as you get a better idea of how things go together | |
