| Guys and Girls... After umpteen threads in staff, and many a head scratching sessions we've come up with the following list for next year... Jan - Feb - Llandow (B4T) March - April - Combe Action Day (B4T) May - Cadwell (BAT) June - Anglesey weekend (BAT) July - Japfest Rockingham (B4T) Aug - Oulton (BAT) Sep - Combe Action Day (B4T) Oct - Brands (BAT) Nov - Llandow (B4T) Dec - The Anglesey weekend we are planning is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday exploring some of the best roads in the UK (including the evo triangle...) As well as a full day at Anglesey... Plenty of Beers and hot Camping Action will be going down What do you all think? Opinions wanted! | |

| Personally l know its all good planning what we would like to do next year, but how much people can actually afford is another matter.
I can say now l wont be doing 6 full track days next year. And i wont even be doing track time at the shows.
The stuff l know ill be doing is the day at llandow, the 2 combe days and the japfests shows (with or without b4t) and the Anglesey trip.
Id also like to do oulton and donnington next year hopefully oulton being with b4t if that day goes ahead.
We only had 3 proper b4t days through the whole of this year. The 2 combe shows and Llandow. So lets not get ahead of ourselves guys.
What happend to the nurgburgring trip?

| This list isn't a be all and end all, its a guide at to what B4T will be doing.
It's not ever going to be possible for everyone all to do everything, as per the previous thread, the second Japfest can be added, but along with organising everything I'll need help!
We've chosen these days as we've struck a deal with bookatrack, and the earlier we plan and book the cheaper the day becomes!
I'll still be heading to the ring, but it's not a B4T event so it's not listed.

| I'm down for Llandow, the Combe action days, Japfest (at least Combe, maybe Rock), the Anglesea weekend and I'm doing the 'Ring at some point. This is all pending getting the time off but it shouldn't be too much of a problem Also willing to passenger to any others like I did at Rockingham, to provide ever helpful directions ('Where are you going?' '....Rockingham?') | |

| One thing that is going to change moving into next year is the way we manage our lists of attendees.
For every event going forwards, the names list will be locked down. The only way a name goes onto that list, is by paying for it.
The reason we're doing this is because of the way we're funding things for trackdays through BAT.
Obviously we have to be consistent on our approach, so this is going to apply to every single event we run. No money up front=no name on the list.

And what about Trax? and to answer some of the points made; nobody expects anyone to attend all 6 days. all we ask is support for the club. this is a big year for us. both stu and I have made a big commitment out of our own pockets to make this happen and to get the buy in of an organisation like BAT. this is just the start. Aand I would hope that as a club we'd all recognise that and get behind it. I have every confidence that we will. nobody is getting ahead of anything. the deal we've made is based on a 25% improvement over attendance over last year. given we averaged 3 people at each full open pit day....I'm not worried....I wouldn't commit my money to something I thought was unachievable. end of. appreciate you're not privy to every conversation, you'll just have to trust me when i say we've not taken this on lightly. I very much doubt the shows will be funded up-front as we have done historically. Combe and others require payment up front, every time we commit to do a combe show we shoulder a risk that is directly proportional to the number of people who "say" they are in. as I'm sure you can appreciate, the number of people who say they are in. does not always equal the number of people that cough up. that changes as of this year. no cash, no name on list. no exceptions, no excuses. Statistically, while the shows bring forum members, they have yet to provide us with people that actually attend track days. so the commitment to them has to be balanced against the events proven beneficial to the club - they are not the be all/end all promotional event everyone thinks they are. nurburg has never and will not be a b4t event this year. you may consider Anglesey as a test. Nobody here has experience of every facet of organising a trip abroad. If we do it next year, it would be through BAT in a similar fashion to the way we'll do the track days. The calendar is by no means final. if a solid argument is put forwards for change to another venue, as always we're fully open to it. Mallry became Brands last year, Rockingham was off plan. It's not set in stone. We are very much open to opinion. The BAT days we anticipate will be at least 5% cheaper for us than advertised, but this will depend on demand and commitment. It could go as high as 10% depending on the event. If demand is heavily on one event (i.e. Anglesey) then we may look to subsidise that as heavily as we can afford. Trax is in the same space as all non-track shows. If there is enough interest and someone willing to organise, and people put their money in up front, then of course it can happen, but at present its not on the calendar.

| Try and make it to LLandow in feb mate. Unfortunately we have no spaces left but feel free to come up and passenger to see whats its all about.
Llandow makes a decent first track its not very long so you will learn and get a feel for the curcuit quite quickly.
Having said that my 1st trackday was at rockingham a few years back which is a long track and l got on just fine. Id say the biggest help is a quiet track.

| I want to do Oulton and Donnington next year and Anglesey in June. It's not the same day that the Lotus boys are having their bash is it, we dont want the track clogged up with the gloves and overalls brigade, takes all the fun out of it.. I drive round in brogues and me best trousers oh and a coat if its cold cant feel the road with a pair of gloves on.. I've never driven Donnington but fancy it as long as they are not too strict on driving technique as I'm only out for a laugh and not bothered who wants to pass me as long as they dont get in the way or growl at me in the pitts for bringing a flask and sarnies. I think I can afford the three dates next year though. Cost 170 quid in petrol last wekend for two cars and one was just morning session. Cant be doin with that too often unless someone else is paying. Every one must do Oulton though as it's one of the best, even in the wet. (except druids in the wet) | |
