Yet another Brands Thread...

Sorry to have kept you in the Dark over the weekend guy but i don't have internet access at home.

As Woz has said in the other thread, we have had to come to a decision over the Brands day...

Obviously a lot of you want to do a full day, but the some of us cannot get the 1st of december off.

The only option we have come up with is we offer you both days, either a half day on the 3rd of November, or a full day on the 1st of December.

What half of the day is the half day? If its the second half its going to get dark fairly quick...

Probably go for the full day anyway as thats what ive paid for, although December isnt ideal trackday time of the year. Somewhat less than impressed at all this messing around going on AFTER the money has left my wallet...

sadly there's very little we can do, we were made promises and took it on good faith that they'd stand by their commitments.

As Stu has already mentioned we will not be using that particular company again, which although doesn't help us here and now, ensures we won't have this situation in the future.

I'd also like to point out that your money is safe - we were at the point of handing over when this came to light so anyone that does want a refund, that is still an option

What is a full day then, time wise?

I'm not really keen on doing half a day so might ask for a refund as i don't want to do the 1st, simply because i will be very skint for xmas and its my gran's birthday that day

full day usually runs 9till 12, hour break, then 1 till probably about 4ish.

So how was it fellas?

Well I was the only one from here out on track on the 3rd but it was fucking excellent! If you haven't done brands anyone on the 1st December list...your in for a treat, I will be sorting the pics out tomorrow night now as I've been far to busy with work today so it had to wait sadly.

Wont be making either of these, but any in Jan or Feb next year im there!

I was in kent for work purposes and the rain looked bad. Glad to here it didnt put a damper on it

the afternoon session was called off at 4pm due to rain, the morning session(one I was on) was fine until the last 1hr - 1.5hr then it started to come down.

Iam taking it that the 1st of Dec has been booked for the remainder of us..... But do we get any confirmation that were booked in or anything to say that its booked and paid for?

I'm presuming that once norledge receives the indemnity forms the organisers need you to fill out he will forward them on to you all, bascically you take those with you. If your name isn't listed when you go to sign on ask them to check for the name Stuart Norledge.

I'm sure Norledge will confirm this in due course.

I was there at Brands on 3rd Nov.
I was instructing in a red Honda Civic. It was a bit greasy to start with, then there was a dry line, then it hissed down for the rest of the day.

It's always "interesting" in the wet. Makes you learn quicker, I think

Im not going to be able to make the 1st, its a bit too late in the year for Christmas, plus its the girlfriends birthday the next day and im slammed with work right up until Christmas. So the long and the short of it is i need to be refunded...

is it just me or the said organisers couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery...

oh yeah word of advice for anyone attending the 1st if the guy doing the briefing asks all those who have never done brands before to come back for another "quick" brief after the sighting laps don't bother just carry on, all he is going to tell you is his experiences on the track and that paddock hill bites... "yeah it does mate if you can't drive!"

Anyway cheers for sorting out my refund. A bit gutted I couldnt do either of the two new dates. I will definatly be up for going to the next one that is organised
