Just a quick heads up to say I've just joined. Was pointed here by Burp and will be at the Haynes sprint day as long as my ECU is replaced under warranty! Speak to you all soon......

It's had another skin welded on now as it cracked when it was that size in the photo. Now 5mm all round so it doesn't flex like a ho. VEMS ecu has decided to just stop sending outputs though so its back off for a new one......hopefully.

Only 140bhp, engine is tight as feck to make any power from. ITB's and some pistons next, it'll make 160+ but I'll need some custom cam grinds because I REALLY dont want to use solid lifters!

would it not be easier to drop a 2.0ltr engine in or you trying to keep it different?

Trying to be different mainly but I love revvy smallblock engines. Used to have a Nova with a 1300 8v on 40's with a 300 degree cam, pulled 109bhp, lol. Had a few blasts with a mates 172 and theres bugger all in it upto 110ish then we both backed off, license is far more important than bragging rights!

Will do, lots to come over xmas, inc. new brakes, a cage and collecting some bits for the ITB install. I'll copy the good bits from my thread over and keep it updated. Cheers for the interest mate!

Used to have a VTS but that ended badly with a tractor, loved it. Your Gti looks awesome fella, really want another.

More importantly the most rediculus inlet manifold set-up I've ever seen, lol.

Definately, hopefully keep it shiny side up!!

Woz, had a read of your blog just, looks epic mate. Really miss my VTS Sad
