Hmm... it was held at PPC's own show at mallory last year... sure kate will confirm

It's also been held at Curborough in the past, Somone called Owelly seems to be organising some/most of this. He came to the last Teesside track day to discuss the track usage and get some info etc.

I think there was such a fuss about how it went last year they must have decided to have it as a seperate event - makes sense really and just have a featured track "moment" at mallory?

The £999 Challenge will be a separate event to PPC in the Park, but the date is yet to be confirmed.

As is the venue according to the track owner's.

PPC £999 Rules

The first and most important rule in this event is keep to the spirit of the event. No one has yet been signed up by McLaren because they’ve done well in past PPC £999 events, so don’t try and win by bending the spending limits, knobbling other competitors or whinging to the organisers about the weather.

Entrants must spend no more than a net £999 on the vehicle, including any modifications.

All cars require a current MoT.

There will be a more details on the full rules in the new £999 section (coming 5th March)

The event will comprise of two tests. A tarmac handling circuit and a 1/4 mile drag runs.
