Maybe it's just the name bolted on the end... but i like the sound of this...
Quote :
For those who find the hilarious but rather under-equipped Renaultsport Clio Cup a little too hair-shirted, Renault has the answer - The Clio Gordini R.S.
Much as the recently released Twingo Gordini is based on the Renaultsport Twingo, the Clio Gordini is based on the full-on Renaultsport version of the Clio, but with an added dose of luxury.
Therefore, while you get the same 197bhp 2.0-litre motor (that gets the car from rest to 62mph in 6.9secs) and the same chassis (both Sport or more hardcore Cup versions are available), you get a plethora of goodies and gadgets.
These include blue and black leather seats, a blue and black leather-trimmed steering wheel, a metallic Gordini-branded gear knob (and a sprinkling of Gordini badges around the cabin), TomTom sat-nav, climate control, cruise control, heated seats, automatic lights and wipers, and plenty of other trinkets too numerous to mention.
On the outside there's a choice of four body colours (Malte Blue, Pearlescent Black, Glacier White and Pearlescent Givre), black diamond-effect alloys, signature Gordini white stripes, and a bumper and rear diffuser finished in gloss black.
I perticually like all the little gloss black tounches.
Still not anwhere near the origional..
Mmmmmmm Classic Renualt Goodness...

Please tell me i'm the only person who can see that stupid curvy white bar in the front bumper, wtf were they thinking(in by best french accent) "hahar we have lost our big buttocks but look we have a rollercoaster on the front end"

I agree with 2 of them have been known as hairdressers cars but i'm sorry the VX220 cannot be called a hairdressers car...you tried getting in or out of one never mind trying to put the roof on one.

you'll hate that it has fewer creature comforts than a 106 the first time it leaks or ices up inside :p

106s leak from the sunroof and the aerial
its the no filter on the air vents for the cabin that I like...the rumours are you have to shut them off and you'll still have dust come shooting into the car from following something.
I'm planning on getting one, since thats the most expensive of all 3, so basically if I don't like it I can sod it off and buy one of the others with little worry it will loose much money.

You will shoot yourself in the nuts if you buy one and then decide you want some comfort and a car you can get in and out of without thinking about it.
Id imagine an MR2 or S2K would feel like a big heavy boat after a VX220 lol
Or thinking about it imagine your 106 with better handling but even fewer creature comforts as alex said. Would you really want that?
Can you tell my vote is one of the other 2 lol?

i know which one you want me to get...i'd like to try one tbh, and besides what creature comforts do they lack from the 106?
Carpet and space lol. I think you should visit honda for a test drive since you have the week off and maybe drive an N/A VX200 if the turbos are still to much. Ill let you drive mine as well then thats all 3 test driven.

BEC no roof, Elise under powered and not as good looking IMHO the interiors don't differ all that much either.
I want something RWD otherwise I'd be buying a DC5 or a JDM DC2
also you have to bear in mind I walk to work and the driving I do, do tends to be a mad thrash somewhere so it would consist of whats basically a sunday thrash.
creature comforts on a VX are all options and are options that have been ticked on the ones for sale now...majority have central locking, leather interior, push button start, upgraded stereo system, and some have the GT pack which is the full carpet interior.
the only option that doesn't really get ticked is electric windows but tbh when you look at the size of the window it's 3 full winds from top to bottom.
