If it is road legal, has four wheels and an engine (or sometimes two) then chances are it will be eligible to display and take on the track.

A repeat of the April event and new for 2009 is the Summer Performance Car Action Day. Open for any type of performance car from hatchback to sports car the Performance Day brings together car clubs and enthusiasts from the complete spectrum of performance car manufacturers.

As with all Action Days you can get your car on the circuit by booking a session at a time to suit yourself. Why not encourage friends to come with you to compare performance of your cars.

With a lunchtime drifting display and a line up of cars from some of the top performance car clubs in the country this new additional to the Action Day calendar is sure to be popular.

ACTION DAYS GENERAL INFORMATION:

This year’s Action Days will follow their usual successful format. Tweaked here and there, but fundamentally continuing the same excellent value for money.

Where else offers non-stop track action for the enthusiast?

Our Action Days cover just about every type of vehicle and enable enthusiasts to mix with like-minded owners as well as taking to the track.

For track users, the day is divided into time zones, so friends can get together to book a particular time, or Club’s, provided they can muster 28 cars, can book an exclusive session.

We keep a close watch on driving standards, issuing yellow and red cards to prevent the worst offenders getting back on the track.

There are lots of conditions to comply with. You must attend a briefing, your car will be sound-checked and unless going out in special sessions, should basically be road legal.


Sound Check

On all our Action Days, the sound limit is 100 dB(A) - measured at the exhaust pipe at 4500rpm on a static test. Your car may be completely road legal, but if it doesn’t meet our check - then sorry, it can’t go out.


Passengers

Passengers can purchase a Passenger Pass, valid all day, which includes Personal Accident Insurance.


Responsible Driving

The days are for enthusiasts to drive their road-registered cars (unless going out in specific sessions). The days are not test sessions for competitors or for drivers to show off their drifting skills or to drive in an aggressive and dangerous
manner. If you don’t want to comply with the rules, then please don’t come. It’s as simple as that.

Admission will be £5 per person - Includes access to (the frankly quite awesome after PPC) B4T BBQ and Drink.

Track time is split into 15 minute sessions, if we can pull in 28 members we can have or own dedicated session (avoiding some of the dodgey driving often seen at these sorts of days) - Sessions are £25 EACH

I'll be convoying from Cheltenham on the morning, details will be sorted closer to the time.

Payment will need to be made by cash or Cheque to me or Bank Transfer (PM me for details)

How much will it cost to get on track, and is there anyway I can get my car sound tested prior to coming?

As for sound testing... don't quote me on it but i think motorbike MOT's have a sound test, so anywhere that does them.

'Strap-on' Silicencers are available on the day.

TBH there isnt much road legal that breaks the 100db... I'll more tan likely have some wire wool for the City so we can easily pad your's out if needs be.

Awesome - I've got no idea if I would be close to 100dB but I am always told how stupidly loud the noisebucket is.

I'm sure my brother would be up for track too, just waiting to hear back from him.

Should be a good first taste of track, although some of the youtube videos of castle coombe action days make the driving standards look appalling!!

My old 1.0 106 with a big bad arse universal exhaust and no cat (also first track time, and at combe!) was loud.... untill i had it tested at 86Db

Combe is a good learner track. Enough speed and a good test of FWD lift-off in Quarry Corner.

As said if we can pull in 28 people for track we'll get a B4T Only session = only good drivers...

At least i'd hope.

sooner rather than later is good as Combe didnt release tickets without cash last time i sorted one, so the sooner everyone is paid up the better. I would say no later than end July

Alex, one of my cars will be there, if the del sol is fixed, the charade is sold.

If the Del Sol is unfixable, the charade will stay and the del sol will be sold.

The reason the Charade wasn't at PPC was because the tracking was miles out.... and it hadn't been sorted
