| After all that grief yesterday i woke up after 5 hours sleep eager to work on my car to try and get it running for Pugfest. Well it was going well picked up another gti box prepped all the car and 2 mates came over to help out. Got the box off in no time. Got it on in no time then Rich found quater of my clutch on the floor so we had to take the gearbox off again. Flywheel side of the clutch was no existant. it had actually exploded into bits leave the base of the clutch. So we changed the clutch with a brand new one box went back on and then we just tightend everything back up and both the lad went. I checked it worked when it was up on stands starting the car and changing gear yeah i was pretty stoked. As i said we tightend everything up and they left i went to take it for a drive and guess what......!? the car wont go into gear whilst the engine is on. Now the only way i can move the car is turn it off, Select first gear and then start car up. Once car starts up the car drives it self with out my foot on the clutch stood still. So i cant change geat whilst engine is running but as soon as engine is off i can change gear. Now there is nothing i can now as its too late to try fix it before tomorrow. Any suggestions to why my car is a piece of poopoo and not working i've done 2 succesful clutch changes before hand so i did know what i was doing. | |
