Disco Update Thread

As you all love the truck so much thought i'd keep you updated!

Bought an engine from a bloke oop north.

Arranged TNT to collect for deliverly today.

Full rebuild kit ordered, head set, belts, clutch and all gaskets.

Had a call from TNT today, it's at their Worcester depot spilt a bit of oil and it's going no further with them...

poopoo poopoo poopoo bugger bugger bugger.

Only thing i have access to that big enough to fit the engine in the back is the Disco. And the only trailer i have access to is an ex army one, which will only fit behind the Disco.

Thought i'd text our resident sheep lover and white van man, 'Anywhere near Worcester?'

So now we're off on a nice romantic drive on friday to collect it ready to fit on Friday.

If TNT are anything to go by, by saying it's spilt abit of oil actually translates to one of their driver's got abit of muck on his work trousers and is now taking 3 weeks off to recover.

didnt think there was anything left in it that'd catch fire

There isnt Alex but metal can melt if we get it hot enough.

Sooo got the new engine... all going well untill a few seconds ago.... slipped with the knife and cut through the immoboliser wiring. 8 different black wires... Great.

Our electrics specialist isnt back in till monday, so all i can hope for today is to get the new engine in place. Bloody immobolisers causeing me greif AGAIN.
