Stevie - Widebody MR2 turbo

Hi all,

I'm Stevie, live in South Wales (I'm Scottish though lol), got a message from someone to sign up on here as I'm looking at doing a few track days in my MR2.

Oh and the missus got me a track day experience for Christmas

Hopefully I'll meet some of you at a track day in the near future and contribute to the forum.

I'll be doing some mods on the car, new ecu, turbo, fitting smaller wheels etc and sorting out the old suspension and then it should be ready for a blast on the track.

You should pop along to llandow in Feb as it's not too far from you. May possibly be a space if you ask stu (norledge)?

What's the noise limit on Llandow? The turbo kit I have to go on has a screamer so it gets a bit loud! I have a Legalis R exhaust on so just above stock for noise, so this should be fine non-screamer lol

If your doing another down there, I'll defo be up for it though, I'll get my mate Ryan with his MR2 to come along too

Llandow is going to be a regular for us, but it's the same as most between 95-105Db (although not that strict).

Not sure how Screamers stand though, but in theory as its not going to be open at 3/4 revs you might be ok!

It's mega loud on WOT though, might need to get my screamer re-routed into the downpipe

Do Llandow do driveby noise tests or just static?

Good news is if its just a stationary test you wont be on full boost so the wastegate will be closed

Then hopefully they will just enjoy the noise of the screamer while your out on track and say nothing lol

Welcome along mate nice to get more Welsh on here. The DB limit is 100dbs as far as i know but as i know the guys up there coz i marshall up there so i will have a word. Anyways get your name down for combe as we will be convoying from Cardiff
