| Basically guys I may be collecting a rebuilt AX GTI box with a quaife in the next week or so. However Ive been told that its geared similar to the S1 106 XSi. Is this true or any way of me finding this out without fitting it?
Hoping to have it fitted with a L+B flywheel. Happy days.

| Cheers for that mate. As its an Citroen AX box I doubt they may have the answer. But no harm in trying. | |

| UPDATE
Guys the car has returned from Des Developments and as always Im well happy with the work.
However, Im now running a AX GTi gearbox with FD of 4.2:1 rather than my old GTi box with FD of 3.9:1. Has a L&B flywheel now on and the Quaife ATB LSD.
However Im worried... The box feels no different at all. (with regards to speed at RPM not me ripping it down the lanes lol). Previously with the GTi box at 60MPH i was getiing RPM at 3000. Now with the new box and flywheel at 60MPH (constant speed) my revs are at 2800RPM.
Ive been racking my brains and cant understand it. With the cogs spinning much faster shouldnt I be at higher RPM at 60MPH now? From my research it looks as if my FD is lower than my GTi box... This seriously cant be can it? I hope not cause if thats the case Ive just wasted fcuking money man badly...

| I was always under the same understanding as you Rush that the revs would be considerably higher with the shorter box's, dare I ask...you sure it was a XS GTI/1.4 XSI box you got? | |

| The box is from a Citroen AX GTi. Just to clear things up (roughly) S1 XSi box has a FD of 4.2:1. Saxo VTS/106 GTi has a FD of 3.9:1 S1 Rallye box has a FD of 2.5:1 The lad was told that the gearing on the AX GTi box is the same as the XSi box. I was hunting around for this info before hand but looks like I got stung. Box feels and seems to be geared very similarly to my VTS box however. Either way doesnt really matter now as the box is on my car lol | |

| This box came up with the quaife in it. A lot of people i know run the XSi box so as my research told me this box was the same as the XSi box it sounded all too good to be true.
Too good to be true eh.. lol.
Ah well live and learn, again, and again.
