Brands Hatch - 30th April 2011

Sadly it wasn't me on track this time, but I went along to the MSVR Club Car Championships at Brands Hatch this weekend (Saturday). It was superb, various classes of cars competing and as I've never been to spectate at a proper motorsport event before it was brilliant.

Saw some epic battling on track in certain races and also some very hairy moments at Druids, where there was an almighty pile up and three very badly damaged BMW's but fortunately no injuries.

Cheers for the feedback on the pics, I am going to invest in a proper telephoto lens (these were shot on an 18-135mm lens) which should enhance the images even further. I should be picking up a 70-300mm lens in the next few weeks so that will be a big improvement over what I've got now.

Really can't beat live motorsport though. I've already booked tickets for the penultimate round of the BTCC championship in October at Brands, can't wait! Norledge I agree, it looks like a fab circuit to drive, have you done any club trackdays there?

I like to try and get one in there once a year, sure we've been there for the past 3 years in December - normally only £99 too

Fab! If you do it this December, I can guarantee three participants already (DC5, Elise 111R, RX8).
