hi guys just read an old autocar cayman versus megane 26r thinking could i apply these ideas to my leon tdi ? leon is a fat old git 1795 kg would like to get some weight off although i thinik its te wrong base for tuning , but a lighter car uses less fuel and would like 60 mpg and more response . carbon panesl would be nice , any input much apreciated , ps im not a boring car owner obsessed with mpg ect just want to enjoy a more responsive more efficient car.

mk1 golf, citroen ax, vauxhall nova, all light and nimble cars worth a look into as a second car, as the latter 2 can be picked up for peanuts!

is it worth making a diesel leon lighter to improve fuel efficiency and responsiveness.

I would say not, you're never going to remove enough to make it worthwhile without going mental on it & losing the practicality.

Don't need a heater on track... £0
