| Project Polar BearTeam Arctic - Project Polar Bear The Storey Goes . . . . One that was a young lad who had a lovely Starlet that never broke and he loved it to pieces, then one day he saw an MR2 for sale and fell in love with it and decided that an MR2 would be his next car to keep with the Toyota. . . and eventually he bought the one he fell in love with as it came back up for sale. The car has some plans not many, the main plan is to enjoy! Turbo Timer, Dual Exit Exhaust, Charge Cooler/Uprated Intercooler, Half Leather Seats, Management, Keep her clean and mint, maybe some more minor mods Iv had her a week and shes slept under a cover, so i popped over to uncover her and let her breathe. Washed the Engine and Started her up Current Spec Lst NGK Plugs TRD Leads Apexi Induction Kit Engine Dress Kit Koni Shocks Ebiach Springs HKS SSQV TRD Engine Strut Brace Front Strut Brace Electronic Stabaliser Blitz Electronic Boost Controller Hyper motersport Downpipe Powerflor Exaust Grooved Discs 17" Rota Grids wrapped in Eagle F1 Tyres Driving home from shell and it brokeSymptons are pressure from the dipstick holder, oil from dump valve, burning oil from exhaust. Compression Test is Cylinder 4 - 172 Cylinder 3 - 188 Cylinder 2 - 28 Cylinder 1 - 170 so Cylinder 2 must have a ring gone. got her on some ramps at home, im going to have a go myself as if you dont try you dont learn! So wish me luck. Purchase list so far is: Cambelt Kit Engine Gasket Set Vacuum Hoses Fuel Filter Oil Filter Oil (opie-oil silkolene Pro-S 5/30) Coolant Toyota Lond Life Piston Rings

Goes without saying really lol. Was a good read. So apart from the charge cooler, pistons & rods the engine is standard? Im impresssed with 325bhp from the emerald ECU. You say its only running 16psi? Im running around 17psi now but without a re-map so you know what im thinking lol.

| Interesting, after my 205CC is fitted ill be down the RR see what its running. Im guessing around 290ish @ 1.2 bar so if it comes back healthy l might be tempted to ask the question reguarding having a stand alone and re-map in the future. | |

if your planning to do trackdays quite often then the HKS would get my vote.

| i wont be able to get one in a week i dont think, the only turbos atm are big ones which would need bigger injectors etc so your talking £1000s really and i cba
also there 500-600bhp turbos, engine will take it but i wont. id kill myself
so its either ct20b a hybrid or if a cheap Garrett GT28 comes up ill have that

and most likely to send off my ct20b to be rebuilt with a steel centre rather than ceramic, may change compressor etc but think itll be mega £££ so prob wont bother

| Bad timing for the turbo to let go but lucky your being saved by a mate.
Since you have a forged engine to take the extra power it would be ideal if a used larger turbo kit came up for sale.
