Sooo went to get a price on a Cage today from a well know Gloucestershire Motorsport company... Front Hoop, Door Bars, Dash Bar, Middle Hoop, Centre Cross with Harness Bars (where the MR2 Bulkhead sits) Triangulation to the MR2 suspension turrets.

£3500-£4000...

Just wear an extra t-shirt or even better wear £4000 wort of T-shirts, thats uber protection there

That said the cage is really the only thing holding that car together so I think it has to be done

Buy a welder, nick some scaffold pole. Job done.

So spoken to my friendly mobile welder today, he's coming over tomorrow night to get it all measured up and to order in the cage tubing ready to weld up next week

Big things are going to happen over the next few weeks

Going to great to see a fully rolling chassis. So much closer to being complete once rolling

So while I'm waiting for Miggy to do his thing, time to move onto other things starting with the brakes...



Some Civic Type R fronts i had lying around should do the trick!!

Here you can see there isn't a huge difference in pad size, more the piston size in the caliper...



After some gentle persuasion...

Need some slight 'machining' to clear the inside of these wheels, but still not sure if i'll be running these.

Next up - CTR Discs and Hubs, Titron Bias Valve fitting, then pipes making up
