| hmmm. suprisingly straight forward, are those 15's though? I'm guessing they wont go under my 14's. When i test fitted my 16valve crx brakes they seemed to fit apart from the splash gaurd needed removing and probably 5+mm removing from where they mount to clear the disks. | |

| Yeah they're 15's, need to fit CTR hub centres to push the disc out a bit.
The Caliper Carrier needs to be grounded down a bit on these specific wheels, but otherwise it's a direct fit.

| TBH i'm amazed how stiff it is!! I sat on the back panel and it barely lowered it... going to need to find MR2 coilovers that will drop 120mm i think! We've joined the two MR2 wing tops to the City rear quarters, also made 2/3rds of the front floor - This bit goot most of the day, fabricating the sheet to the shape of the floorplan - the centre tunnel will look factory when i've ground the welds and painted it up. The city rear panel was plated to the MR2 rear crossmember, then reinforced it with 6mm plate. This is welded to the rear tow eye mount, and the brace bars run to the MR2 turrets. We've also plated the front of the turrets with 6mm, and braced up to the main hoop of the cage. Left to do is the brace the turret down to the bottom of the front hoop, dashbar and centre cross brace. Then the tarty sheet metal work | |

I think you need to give your neighbours a hand to get that box in the Focus!

| SO after a bit or research into the standard brake disc diamensions for the City and the CTR, i've come up trumps with fitments - Del Sol SiR!
CTR Discs are 300mm Diameter, Del Sol are 280mm and thinkness is only 1mm out. So yeah... touch wood.

| thought you would say fuel tank, only issue with that is its not always the same weight and with half a tank it will only weight about 25kg.
also will it need to be a soft tank? just if you had a head on accident could explode...

| Yes. As long as the mounts are the same for the na and turbo then it will ne easy to swap over in future. I say build everything as though going turbo with space for intercooler etc, custom ecu, then all you'll need to do in future is swap engine and some engine harness! | |

For a whole host of reasons, (losing storage space, having to move, loving the golf too much, wanting another disco, and general mincing) I'm going to scrap the City Proper gutted, but it's been on my mind for a while now, moved it the other day, and the amount of work that needs doing has dawned on me...
