| Iv been looking at semi slicks to put on my vts alloys but there about £500 for set of 4 that's toyo r888 and yokohama a048. There alittle expensive at the moment I'm saving up for them lol unless anyone knows a place cheaper. So what sort of good grippy tyres are there that are around £200. A set of tyres I'm thinking of are yokohama parada spec 2 there £160 a set they was good when used before but does anyone know of better make tyre and link me some websites cheers | |

| Ive no experience with them so only going from word of mouth, but i was told the Parada's were better suited to slightly heavier cars (Civics etc) for out right grip. Though they'd last quite a while based on that.
May be worth asking how much tread is actually left in them, there is usually indentations scattered around the face to give a reading.

Yes I was looking at those paradas they look good and there around £175 for set of 4 that's better than 4 a048 at around 580 a set lol also they last longer than semi slicks , I know not as much grip but does it as only for trackdays Iv seen some federal 595 rs-r semi slicks there around £350 a set of 4 and last alittle longer than the other two semi slicks so may give them ago

| I used Parada's on my LCR, they're great in the dry, not so much the wet. They take a fair bit to get them up to temperature but once they're there your confidence in attacking the corners increases. They're about £200 for 2 for mine (225/40/18) but last a few track days. The set currently has been to the 'Ring, done a good few laps, Rockingham last weekend and they've still got 5mm treat on them (they start with about 7 or 8mm) | |
