| Copied over from 106boners, probably won't get much advice there anyway. So..
Anybody know much about these? I've done the obvious and searched the internet and I think they can only 'get you' from the rear of your vehicle - meaning you go past the camera, which faces the same flow as the traffic on your side of the road, and go over the inductive loops after it which is what triggers it to take a picture.
Reason being I was driving through London earlier, no GPS warning no signs and after speeding down a road (tut tut naughty) I noticed one of these cameras on the opposite side of the road, none on my side though.
Just worrying that it could have got me or, as I'm trying to work out, if they're only one side of the road. All pictures and some information seems to point to that?
Hope this makes sense.. cheers.

| we have them on a dual carriage way by kidderminster, afaik they work like a gatso but they are also used as red light cameras in some circumstances iirc...plus they don't use film so there is no point going back to torch the bastard | |

| Any info on if one on the opposite side of a road can get cars going towards it (camera facing cars)? And how far down the road they can get a car?
As I kind of came tearing down a hill, it was on the opposite side of the road facing me, only realised when I was quite close. I panicked as it looked like it would look right up the road.. but after doing some research I think I'm safe?!
I honestly practically never speed!

| they work like a gatso jon so no if it was facing you then it wouldn't have done you, besides they have to have the lines on the road again like a gatso but usually a smaller version of the lines, if it had no lines then it's not even active. | |

| Haha, yeah seen that before. There's just so many of the moneytrons in SE London driving is a mare there. I really ought to pay to update my satnav! If I get home from uni on Friday (to get ready for Combe!) and there's no NIP I'm officially still point free.. | |
