| Unfortunately I haven't really done any work on the lude for a while now due to a new member to the family but still been collecting bits! First off decided I definately want the extra engine so picking that up at the end of the month. Also got my cooling plate through now. Opted for black as didn't want it to stand out to much once installed! And now to the awesome bit of kit I've got my hands on. An oem lude LSD gearbox. These boxes were only available as an option to the jdm lude so not very common at all. It's a viscous LSD so should be good on track. Needs a good clean, some new seals, and a flush as been sitting around for a while bit bring on the LSD! | |

| I'm planning on installing the gauges, wrapping the manifold, installing the gearbox, installing the cooling plate, and purchasing and installing an aluminium rad with silicone hoses and if time get the spare sump baffled and installed before llandow! Nothing like being optimistic! Likelyhood is the last one won't get done but may need the services of my brother to come and help one weekend to get the rest done in time! | |

| Well I've been stock piling lots of bits and time is a serious luxury these days but thought I'd better start on something on the car otherwise nothing will get done! First thing I thought was to get the gauges in and wired up so then I can install and wire up the sensors quickly another time! First problem though that the gauges I have are too long in the body for the gauge pod I have so back to sqaure one. Deciding it wasn't going to beat me I ripped my dash apart in a bid to install the gauges under my stereo (as I needed to change it back to my stereo anyway!). First job, rip the old storage bin out and make up so L brackets for the panel: Make some more supporting brackets for the back of the stereo and fix them to the frame, as the removing the storage bin removed all stereo support: Next on the list, make a panel for the gauges: Get some carbon (real) and cut out the shape I needed: Put the gauges back in the panel: And finally install the panel and stereo back in the framework: Haven't wired them in yet as I'm looking at the wiring diagrama at the moment for the best places for power and ignition feeds, but will get that sorted ASAP!! | |

| Not 100% perfect, but is close enough. Had to cut some of the trim away below the gauges to get them to fit but think I got away with it! All hail the Dremel!!!
No the gearbox isn't in yet!! Need to give it a clean and paint, and flush it through first. Trying to get jobs done in such a way I can get multiple ones out the way at the same time rather than installing and removing things loads of times to do each job! | |

| Just spotted you're thinking about getting your sump baffled was talking to the guy who did my engine yesterday and we reckon a baffled sump would have saved my old engine. I think they're similar enough that you might get away with the B series weld in baffles. Tegiwa are doing them for £15 at the minute and I know they've just got a CNC machine so might be able to make you up a set if they won't. I'm probably going to do this next time I get the oil changed on it myself. | |

| Went for the japspeed one in the end. Just been raped down Honda aswell, 64quid for coolant, 4 washers, 2 driveshaft seals and two retaining clips for the driveshafts! Ordered some synthetic amsoil for the gearbox last night from opie oils and some more brake fluid. Just the silicone hoses, an oil extension pipe with a t-piece for the gauge sender and new discs all round and then my spending will have to stop for a bit! | |

| All good! That's why I'm using Honda coolant, even if it's 15quid per 5 litre ready mixed, as been reading about coolant and even the ones that say they are safe for aluminium, are usually not as they just add in the necessary chemicals to old formula which apparently can eat seals. The last time I put new safe for aluminium coolant in, my waterpump started leaking couple months after...maybe a coincidence but not taking the chance! | |

| Hoping to have most/all of it done for llandow and the engine is just for spares really incase I have any trouble with mine! Been spending a bit but know that next year I'll have no spare money for bits for the car hence buying it now. Next year will just be running the car really!
Going to take the spare sump off and get it baffled. Had a price of £80 to provide the baffle and weld it in so not bad really. Not after adding any more power yet, I want to have a reliable motor as it is now hence the money being spent on cooling and baffles etc!

| Right well the spending has now stopped...for now, but did have a few goodies sneak in before the deadline of no more spending for a little while: Got the remote oil t-piece through so I can fit my oil pressure gauge sensor and keep the stock sensor. The silicone hoses to go with the ally rad. I got them in blue as thought it would be a nice contrast to the red paintwork: Also got my spare sump back and is now baffled. Only opted for a basic baffle as told it doesn't need to bbe any more extreme than this unless doing competition events or running full slicks. Looks good and hopefully should help: | |

| Lol they will come! Well as my brother rightly points out I have picked up (well big thanks to Jo for picking them up for me actually) ANOTHER set of oem prelude wheels, but this time wrapped in r888's managed to get them real cheap to! My main weak points at llandow were lack of cooling hence the aluminium rad and cooling plate and lack of grip hence the LSD box and r888's! Should all help when next on track! | |

| Yeah got the tyres already on prelude wheels. Well I'm hoping they'll last at least 2 days. Some people have said if you warm them up properly they should last well as are the GG compound (medium-hard). Apparently still amazing grip though! This was the original plan with semi slicks hence getting the sump baffled too! | |

| Well couple updates, haven't done a lot to the car but have got another steering wheel to go in. Also got my lights working, turns out it was a combination of corroded loom plugs, a knackered intermittent bulb, and the wiring going to the hid plug that plugs into the loom being connected wrong! Also thought as I had an afternoon with the car I'd fit the hids. Altered the wiring on the plug so it was the right way round and hence worked, and am outstanded at the light output. Put couple pics below: Standard lude lights and hid lights. | |
