| Anyone else with the hids found that at night all road signs look like they are all internally lit? Must be the colour of the light, but makes the signs very bright and clear! | |

| Right finally a small update. Hoping to have josh up next weekend to sort my parts haul onto the car. Had a spare couple hours today so thought I'd make a start on stuff that would take up valuable time. Car jacked up, front wheels off, bumper off, undertray off: Aircon rad and all air con piping removed from the engine bay: Just the air con pump and cast iron bracket, and internal from behind the glovebox left to remove! Also thought I'd remove the resonator from behind the bumper. It takes air from the wing and passes into one open tube, and one tube controlled by a butterfly valve which opens and closes dependant on throttle, and then into the airbox in the engine bay. Mr Honda said this was for extra fuel economy and noise reduction...and i'm not bothered about either! I will then remove the reflector that sits next to the indicator in the bumper and use that as a cold air feed straight into the airbox! Thought I'd be really jdm yo! to and removed the badly fitting rubber grommet that filled the gap left by the rear wiper I removed and fitted a Japanese beer bottle top...just hope it holds! | |

| Had a package turn up this morning. It's a goodridge braided clutch line that also deletes the clutch damper, so will fit this along with the gearbox this weekend! | |

| Well had a mammouth weekend working on the car! Massive thanks goes out to Josh (nelly08) for staying all weekend and working on the car with me to get my list done! And a thanks to Jamesy for helping with the gearbox lowering and lifting of the new one and holding a spanner looking bemused! Bear with me on what we've managed this weekend on the Lude: Old radiator drained/removed and old coolant hoses removed. Non LSD gearbox drained. Air con pump removed (did all the pipework and rad earlier in the week). New air con delete belt installed. Exhaust down pipe removed from manifold. All clutch line removed from slave cylinder to master cylinder (including damper). Non LSD gearbox removed. Lower/upper rad mounts modified for new aluminium rad. Rad fans removed and modified to fit with new rad. New 52mm aluminium rad installed and filled with new coolant. New silicone coolant hoses installed. New LSD gearbox on. Engine oil drained/oil filter removed. Sump removed. New sump gasket and new baffled sump on. Sandwich plate installed with new oil filter. Gauge senders installed. New braided clutch line installed. New front and rear discs installed. New front Hawk HP+ pads installed. New NS rear caliper installed. Manifold removed and heat wrapped manifold and downpipe. Think that's everything and here are the photo's!!

| And now I'm knackered and Josh is driving home! Oh and at some point this morning Josh even managed to skip all the hard graft and fitted his new HIDs on his Xsara!!!
Only got new NS rear caliper and pads to fit. Fit rear brake lines to new calipers on the back. Adjust handbrake. New power steering rack boot to fit. Gauges to install in car and wire up to power and sensors. Cooling plate to install along with the front bumper. And then just the interior to put back together! | |

| Excellent work Team Nel! You ought to move the horns to improve your cooling further, before fitting the bumper. They might not look much but they are blocking about a 1 sq ft of radiator from direct air flow. Small job with positive benefits! | |

| Cheers guys. Progress is still on going but at a much slower pace due to work, overtime, house buying stuff and helping with the baby. But got the mot booked for 11th April.
Rear brakes are all back together, all brakes bleed with new fluid, handbrake adjusted, fitted both new power steering rack boots, and drained old gearbox fluid now its cleared the gearbox and new amsoil stuff put in!
Mainly just putting stuff back together, wiring in the stereo and gauges and fitting the new steering wheel!
Getting there slowly! | |

| Managed to sneak an hour on the car after work yesterday so removed the air con condenser from under the dash as the rest of the aircon is already gone! Saves another couple kilo's of useless crap! Also unbolted the drivers seat and rail as need to splice into a wire in the under dash fusebox for the ignition live for the gauges. Found a perfect source that is now redundant from when I removed the 4ws and already goes through its own 10amp fuse....puurrrfect! | |

| Lol yep! The box is 10 times bigger than the glovebox. Obviously to retain the normal blower function I had to put the black box back in, but only after I removed the condenser! Yours back in one piece now jezer? | |

| Well I'm aware there have been no updates for about a whole week now...to be honest it must just be laziness! Anyway while you lot were sunning yourselves looking at cars all day I was working on mine again!! Got the stereo surround and the gauges installed back in the car. Spliced a live ignition feed for the gauges. Wired up the pressure and temperature sensors. Put all the interior back in (well dash parts). Bumper back on. Cooling plate installed. BEFORE: AFTER: I have also left out the reflector in the bumper on the drivers side. There isn't a bulb in there so thought I'd leave it out now the resonator box has been removed so it gets lots of cold air straight into the bottom of the airbox!! MOT on monday and after that will change the steering wheel to the new one, and sort the slight oil leak I have from the blanking plug on the sandwich plate!! Then I'm kind of done for a while in terms of mods! | |

| LOL Thanks bro. Took it out to bed the brakes in tonight, they certainly do make a hell of a difference. Don't know whether it's just a placebo effect with the LSD box but the car seemed to really stick to the road around a few roundabouts! | |

| You'll soon feel the LSD working in the wet! Shame about the inner wheel arch but it happens now and then - an EVO at Castle C went three or four laps with his nearside one wrapped around and hanging out!! He was clearly having far too much fun to be worried about it. Surprised he wasn't flagged for it though! | |

| Lude had it's mot today...passed with no advisories. Got all the old mot's back to import date in 2001 but I know for a fact for the last 6 years it's had no fails and a total of 2 advisories. Not bad for a 1993 car! | |
