| Well decided it was worth a couple of hours as it was that or watching tv! Just the other 3 to do!
Luckily I used my phone's camera. I didn't paint the inside of the wheel as...well I couldn't be bothered and it doesn't look like my usual high standards up close but who's going to be looking closely at a track day!

| Nah...wanted carbon before but too expensive with a baby on the way so removing all trace of the sunroof and then welding up the hole and either sprayed black or carbon look vinyl wrap. Not sure yet and depends upon money situation when I do it! Carbon sunroofs are somewhere near £300 I think for a new one and 2nd hand ones are very hard to come by! | |

Did you look around for gauge pod mounted pillar trim? Forgot where i bought mine from but looked just like the origional trim and weren't all too expensive.

| Thanks woz. Prob to far, there is a place called performance autoworks over gloucester way but want to try and get it done abit closer to home.
I did look into those masher but nothing for my car. I will mod the one I have as it's original trim and try to make it as oem looking as possible!

| removed the rear wheel steer subframe, ecu, wiring harness etc and replaced with a fixed rear wheel position subframe(converting it to only front wheel steering). this now stops the rear wheels from turning to aid turning, but saves a *uc* load of weight from the (mainly rear end) | |

| allignment wise, they all point the correct way now. similar to tracking, but with all different angles like how far the top of the wheel points in or out, how far forward or backwards the hub is from the mounts, and the tracking. p.s. sorry for ruining your reply sam | |

Nothing really left to do as such, just need to make shell shares bigger and fill my jerry cans up with fuel in preparation for burning it very quickly! | Well after an eventful day at Llandow on track I will need to start making some improvements to my car...mainly keeping the coolant a little cooler! Waiting to sort out a cooling plate which mounts in the gap inbetween the slam panel and front bumper to stop air flow coming up under the bonnet, and in theory forces more of the air straight through the rad! Also noticed the other day that when changing the wheels back to my road wheels I have had some rubbing issue on my front offside brake line?! Seems something has rubbed on it and worn through the PVC outer coating in a 2cm length. Not gone through the braiding but need to work out what's done it and get a replacement line...booo, they are only couple months old! Anyway I have started my spending spree before the baby arrives and I have no money left! Over the last couple of days had a couple of parcels...and each time the wife asks, "Is that something for the baby?" and my answer, "Urrrmmm yeeessss, my baby not our baby though!". Had through 30m of graphite impregnated exhaust wrap with 16 stainless ties (should be enough for the manifold, and downpipe. Sandwich plate, oil temp and pressure gauges, new rear pads (not needed yet but for when they are), and a compression tester (just a useful tool). Also may have found a spare JDM 2.2 vtec engine, in parts so it's easy to move and store but all complete and working when removed for £80...yes that's right 197BHP engine for £80!! Just need to organise getting it from Chester...Jaaammmeeesssss!

| 9k is pretty high. Do you know what rpm the engine is balanced at? I was thinking of upgrading the valve train on the spare engine if I get it, would mean nice high revving and no chance of going bang then! All pipe dreams as would need a fair wack of money but would like to upgrade valve train, forge bottom end, baffled sump, mapped and a turbo. 250bhp at the wheels easily achievable then, with a bomb proof engine as well! Ah we can all dream! | |

| they're balanced at 8700 I believe, vtec on paper kicks in at 5700 but mine seems to come on at 6. dont forget the b18's have a steel crank, most people seem to say that you only really need to forge if you're going for massive power (guy on the ITR forums has forged and boosted & is getting something like 450hp and same again lb/ft of torque) if you're rebuilding it you might find this site useful; http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/and this magazine in the US looks good, the website has lots of techy articles that make for good reading http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/index.html | |

| Cheers for the links. The only problem with forging the H22 engine is it used FRM liners in the bore (fibre reinforced metal - basically a carbon fibre metal composite) which means you either need special pistons (only 2 manufacturers I know about in the USA) or sleeve the block and then use any forged pistons!
Vtec on the H22 is supposed to be 5600 from stock but had a chip on my ECU which brings mine down to 5k and also removed the Jap 112mph limiter!

| Sam, have you ever looked into the Moates Ostrich?? Remappable on the fly EPROM emulator, using a programme like CROME to map on the laptop as you're driving! Costs about £300, but well worth it. Allows manual adjustment of VTEC and Rev limiter | |
